USA- Massachusetts Wachusett Early-morning ascent routes are skinner’s left of Ralph’s Run and Conifer Connection (as snowmobiles use the other side); uphill traffic must stop once the lifts open for the public (which is often as early as 15 minutes before stated opening times).

USA – Colorado Arapahoe Basin Uphill is permitted during operating hours on the east side of High Noon to the Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain. Our operating hours are Mon-Fri 9:00am-4:00pm; weekends & holidays 8:30am-4:00pm. Those wishing to skin or hike to the summit may do so before or after operating hours. Guests using uphill access at any time must follow the guidelines in our Uphill Access Policy. Ski Patrol will decide on the status of uphill access each morning by 6:00am. The status of uphill access can be found on the Runs Open page of Uphill access is subject to closure due to weather or other on-mountain conditions. USA – New York Windham Mountain Up-Hill Travel Ticket: $10 for the day, $25 for a season pass. Up-Hill travel using skis or snowshoes is permitted during daylight hours only, with any current lift or Up-Hill travel ticket or season pass. When traveling up-hill, Travelers must stay to the sides of trails and stay visible from above at all times. Always be aware of the following but not limited to downhill traffic, snowmobiles, grooming tractors, other utility vehicles, winch cat cables, snow guns running and non-running. Trail markings and closures may have been removed by ski patrol for maintenance. It is recommended that Travelers take a cell phone with them and let someone know where they are intending to go. Trails are not patrolled when the mountain is closed. Sledding of any kind is not permitted. 10$ day, 25$ season

Germany in Germany it is allowed; most ski resorts/ cable car owners have agreed upon to mark a special route next or close to the slopes. There are even some ski resorts that provide special skitouring tracks a bit away from the actual slope for going up; sometimes even with artificial snow.
