People dream to have a better place
next year, in the next decade. People believe that hunger can end, that
equality can achieve, halt climate change in the next twelve years. But still
it is always a question why all of these dreams and beliefs cannot engage into reality.
The researcher analyses that it is
not the fund or amount of money that hinders and the primary needed to achieve
these goals. But rather the people must look closely on the societal problems
that are tend to overlook and neglect. And the paramount drawback among and
within the countries is the inequality. It results to the inequalities in
opportunities and in condition. It contains structured and recurrent patterns
of unequal distributions of goods, wealth, opportunities, rewards, and punishments.
From these differences, as long as a
race or ethnic group will identify themselves as inferior or superior from the
other group even we are bounded to billions of funds still the global
development will just stay as dreams. If the humanity will neglect this one
societal problem, it will be a doubt to achieve any developments, global
development will just be dead. Because the unity of the humanity is the oxygen
in order for the world to survive and to be alive again.
And last September 2015, hundred
ninety-three world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable
Development. Its overall goals is to extremely end the poverty, inequality and
climate change by 2030.
Even the government done a massive
consultation exercise still these would not be all possible and effective if
there is no response from the humanity. The question that can this vision for a
better world really be achieved is on the shoulder of the humanity. And as
Micahel Green says, “The humanity run the numbers and the answer.”
From the different set of
inequalities that every country is encountering, the researches look which
inequality is still severely occurring until now across the countries and lots
are trying to disdain this problem in racial and ethnic inequalities.
also currently happening in other races or ethnic groups. Like in the
Philippines, this inequality seems a massive problem.
the mildest ways the Philippines show racism is in their standards of “beauty”.
Majority of Filipinos still consider light skin is the go-to for the idea of
beauty this is proven by the numerous whitening products and procedures that is
popular in their country. And many of the celebrities in the Philippines is
lauded for being looking white and treated as a goal of beauty. That is why the
Filipinos with ebony complexion or brazen skin seem to be discriminated with
their own countrymen and treat unequally in their society. Racism is a prejudice that is present and yet
most Filipinos are ignorant that is currently in their society’s system.
this problem, the neuroscience of empathy will embody the stumbling block
racial and ethnic inequalities in the Philippines. One of the goal of this
study is for the humanity to understand how ones feel- to be them, even for a
second. A connection to other and how ones connect, heal, and relate from ones
