Motivational, hard-working, and supportive is three words I would use to describe my father. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a provider and loving father like my dad but thankfully I was. Ever since I was born I have always been a daddy’s girl. Throughout my childhood years I went to my dad about anything and everything because I knew he would always have my back. In my opinion, my father is one of the most hard-working men I know because he never gives up on anything and works constantly to be able to provide for me and my mother.
The reason I chose these words to describe my father was because of how much of a go getter he is. My dad is not only my father and has a full time job he constantly works side jobs building things, painting, plumbing issues, etc. Anything you need done my dad most definitely can do it without a doubt. My dad makes sure he does each and every job to the best of his ability. He fixes peoples house problems and anything you can think of around our neighborhood and does not even charge people out of the kindness of his heart. In all honesty, without my father leading me down the right direction and teaching me how important things are in life I would not be the person I am today.
In comparison to my father, I have some of his qualities but not quite everything. One thing for sure is that I get my ambition to help others from him. As I have gotten older and wiser I have gained knowledge and become more aware in my decision making processes. The individuals that I give back to may not have had the same opportunities in life as I am fortunate to have or have the experiences I was able to have. All of these are reasons why volunteering makes me thankful for what I have and pushes me to want to make a difference in the community. Helping people and see the excitement and joy on their faces truly inspires me to keep going.
To wrap things up, my father is a terrific person inside and out with a gigantic heart for his family and others. He truly has a heart of gold and has given me the ability to experience some of the most wonderful volunteering experiences and I am blessed to have been apart of. Without a doubt, I would not be where I am today in life as a person if it wasn’t for my dad pushing me to be the absolute best.
