Khwahish 7T Rabies is a preventable viral disease that goes through the bite of a rabid animal. (NCBI, 12/01/17) To prevent rabies diseases there is a vaccination called rabies vaccination that contains 3 doses. This vaccination helps to prevent rabies disease so that if a rabid animal bites you then it won’t harm you or cause any internal problems accept if a rabid animal has already bitten you before the vaccine. Every vaccine has a chemical compound and so does rabies vaccine. A chemical compound is a chemical combination or a chemical substance of two or more elements that can be normally broken into smaller substances. One of the most common chemical compounds is H20. In this chemical compound, it contains 2 hydrogen atoms that are bonded to an oxygen atom. So by the research of scientists, they created a vaccine called rabies vaccination to prevent rabies. As we use ingredients in our daily life to cook, we also use ingredients to make vaccines. The ingredients we use to make rabies vaccine are human albumin, neomycin sulfate, phenol red indicator, MRC-5 human diploid muscle cells and beta-propiolactone.(CDC, 2013, pg.3) A rabies vaccine has 3 doses. This vaccination is given on the deltoid muscle of an adult and a child. The first dose is given any day the person wants, the second dose is given seven days after the first dose and the last dose is given 21 or 28 days after the first dose. Some people do need boosters and they are laboratory workers. The people who usually are not recommended to have boosters are travelers because sometimes while someone has been vaccinated can get a fever or some kind of infection.(Rabies Vaccine, 2012) People who have already been bitten by a rabid animal will get 4 doses and a rabies immune globulin with the first dose. The people who have already been bitten have a different order to be vaccinated. The first dose is given right away when the person is bitten by a rabid animal, the second dosage is given on the third day after the primary dosage, the third measurement is given 7 days after the principal dosage and the last dose is given fourteen days after the main dose. Rabies is the disease that can be found in different countries. In 2017 45% of all deaths in south-east Asia were caused by rabies. India was one of the most common places for rabies. 18,000 – 20,000 people had a rabies disease. 36% of world’s death from rabies. India is one of the most common countries for rabies because 70% of India’s population have ever heard about rabies. 60% of India’s population has been vaccinated for the disease and 10% of people just wash their wounds after the bite of a rabid animal. (WHO) The people who have already been vaccinated in India are safe from rabies except for 5% of people do get some kind of issues if they are bitten by a rabid animal. In India World Health Organization (WHO) are trying to decrease the number of deaths in 2018 from rabies virus and go to small towns and villages to prevent rabies. To conclude rabies vaccine is a vaccine to prevent rabies disease. Rabies is a very famous disease around southeastern Asia and in the U.S. In brief, it is essential to get your vaccines on time, try to help small villages and remind people to get vaccinated so they can live longer and stronger.
