If yes, how?(After analyzing and studying about uniform civil code, personal laws and problems faced by women, a conclusion of whether India is ready for the uniform civil code and should it be applied will be done with by end of March )WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC AND WHAT IS MY AIM?Article 44 of the constitution of India says that “The state shall endeavour to secure for the citizens a uniform civil code throughout the territory of India.” I think it’s more necessary to have a national identity and to dissolve the communal sentiments for the progress of India. But even after the 68th Republic Day celebrations, it still just remains a hot topic of discussion. After the recent Triple Talaq case, there is a hope of getting uniform civil code and how it can benefit the women from the oppressive patriarchal rules. Hence, I chose this topic to know more about it and to form a conclusion of this debate.HOW DO I PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?Every sub-topic mentioned in the index is very vast and will require considerable efforts to learn about all that’s mentioned. The timeline decided by me considers this and hence I will go through the mentioned references in a structured way. Also, I will analyze all the pros and cons of the uniform civil code and how it will affect the women before forming a conclusion.References:i Kishwar, Madhu (Aug. 13, 1994).
