Although phlegm is not dangerous, if ignored for too long it can clog the bronchial tubes and cause a secondary infection of the upper respiratory tract.There are several reasons that can cause phlegm like cold, flu, viral infection, sinusitis, excessive consumption of tobacco, etc. Although it is very irritating and uncomfortable, fortunately, there are excellent herbs and natural home remedies that can cure phlegm.Ginger and honey Ginger has abundant medicinal properties that can treat various diseases. The compounds present in ginger help to minimize the symptoms of cough and cold and to calm the respiratory system. Take 100 grams of fresh ginger root and remove the outer skin. Crush the ginger without adding water. Place 2 tablespoons of honey in the microwave for 15 seconds and then add a teaspoon of grated ginger. Consume two tablespoons of this mixture twice a day for three consecutive days. Alternatively, you can add a spoonful of honey in a glass of warm water and drink it several times a day.
