Another through some task while they have important

Another motivation theory used by Google is Frederick Herzberg’s two factor theory. In fact, the company offers some hygiene factors such as a decent wage with bonuses these motivational factors increase their employees’ performance and create different opportunities for their growth and evolution. Google also provides another hygiene factors like a suitable work environment and liberty and independence in their organisation According to (McGregor) theory X and theory Y are two main theory regarding motivation. The management style in the theory x is not assigned, and the control is central. Managers usually are controlling projects.Theory Y managers have an enthusiastic and optimistic judgement of their staffs they use participative and a decentralised style of management. Google’s management apply the theory Y. Their workers have a full freedom to perform their work. Therefore, google allows their staff to use 20 per cent of their time in any project their want. Employees are satisfied to work at Google and inventing services and products that are changing and moving the world forward. How Google is compared to other business If we compare Google’s motivation theory with other business in the same sector such as Apple company we can see that Google provides a more comfortable and relaxing work environment. For example, Google’s employees have more freedom by been given free food, transportation and many more advantages. However, Apple Inc.’ management focus less on comfort of their staff and has not equipped the organisation with advanced facilities. In fact, they do not provide gym or free meals. Therefore, Apple do not provide sufficient safety needs. Unlike Google, Apple put more emphasis on hard work and dedication from their staffs instead of structuring a social environment. Apple’s employees have to be guided through some task while they have important works deadline . is more focused on expertise and individual performance as compared to the position and roles As google apple apply with success the equity theory because they allow their staffs to freely express their ideas and thoughts. Although Apple fulfilled successfully the self-actualisation needs of their employees, they disregard completely their social needs which according to Maslow are more essential. Moreover, according to Herzberg Apple’s employees will be satisfied with some motivators causes such as accomplishment, innovative and challenging work. However, they will be dissatisfied with some hygiene factors for affecting they personal life and social relationship. Unlike Google, Apple has created an environment of secrecy. which could be effective in several areas for example, there will be any leaks of the organisation data to the public which keep the company competitiveness. However, this secrecy has some disadvantages. By applying this method many employees are stressed in maintaining the organisation’s secrets due to a tense control of data. In fact, Apple firmly limits the amount of staff being aware about their new invention. The rest of them will be aware only after the product launch.  Many employees tend to leave because they cannot adapt to the company policy. The staffs are not satisfied with the hygiene factors for company’s policies and administration.Overall Google do a better job in applying both Maslow’s theory of need by fulling all the five needs and Herzberg’s two theory …
